October to June -- 2nd Mondays -- Enneagram Events

This is the most popular meeting time for the greater Enneagram Portland Community.  Often class size is over 40 people.  Occasionally there is a storyteller, a harpist, a poem--- so expect an educational, fun and interdisciplinary experience, along with interactions and explorations among all types.  All participants present are invited to actively participate in the evening's dyads, small groups and type panels. All types encouraged to attend all evenings.

The best way to learn about people? Be with them in person!

This program is open to all students who know their own type and have an understanding of the other types as well.  It includes a monthly process and panel interview experience on one type and its connecting points.  Three types will participate in short panels each month, with the focus on the main type per month.  For example, on FOUR NIGHT there will be a FOUR PANEL and an opportunity for the FOURS to explore their shared gifts/challenges/outlooks with a panel of their connecting points TWOs and ONEs.

GROUP THERAPY FOR GAY AND BI-SEXUAL MEN
every Tuesday evening
7:30 to 9:15 p.m.

The Gay and Bisexual Men’s Process Group has been facilitated by Jerry Deckelbaum, L.C.S.W. for over four years.

The group has served as a forum for the working-through of a variety of issues, including coming out, establishing / maintaining relationships, sexual compulsivity, being HIV positive / negative, depression, anxiety, social isolation, loss, personal growth and spiritual development.

The group focus is experiential and members are encouraged to share here-and-now thoughts and feelings. This approach encourages the emergence and sharing of experience in relationship, and facilitates  emotional healing and interpersonal change. The group also provides a social function, wherein members have an opportunity to relate to other gay and bi-sexual men in deeper and more meaningful ways.

This intensive weekly therapy group meets every Tuesday evening from 8:00 to 9:45 p.m. in the Hollywood area of Portland.

It is a closed, ongoing group with a 16-week (minimum) membership commitment, although members are encouraged to participate for at least 32 weeks for optimum benefit.  New members are oriented into the group every sixteen weeks (please call for next opening date).

The cost is $40 per session, with payment due on the first meeting of every month.  Ryan White funding is presently available for those who qualify, and some insurance is accepted.

Please call Jerry Deckelbaum (224-0033) to schedule a meeting (no fee) to discuss whether this group is right for you.
